About Us

     In 1989, "PizzaBob" and "MeanJean" along with their two children moved to Northern Michigan to own and operate the Little Caesars Pizza Parlor in Gaylord. Over the next 15 years, they expanded their operations to include 8 locations throughout the North. Over the course of the expansion years many compliments on product quality and taste were received from franchise representatives and Northern travelers who had been long time pizza customers. Good, friendly service added to value and quality of products were their benchmark.

     After a divorce from Little Caesars in 2005, "PizzaBob" became better known as "Spicy" Bob and the concept of

Spicy Bob's Italian Express became a reality. Quality ingredients, value prices, expanded menu and good, friendly service continue to set us apart in the Northern MichiganQuick Service Restaurant venues.

     "Spicy" Bob and his wife "MeanJean" are now retired from the pizza business.  The six locations Gaylord, Grayling , Petoskey, Boyne City, East Jordan, and Alpena are now owned and operated by A & R Hospitality. We strive to bring you the best food at a great price in a quick manner. We are the original providers of Hot, Fresh and Always Ready pizza in Northern Michigan and now offer many other Italian foods, Albie's pasties and the "Best in the North" Grinders.
